For the London Design Festival, architect Asif Khan was asked by MINI LIVING to create 3 temporary pavilions right in the heart of London’s East End, with a brief to increase the chances of public social interaction. Khan teamed up with Jin Ahn, horticulturalist and co-founder of popular London plant store Conservatory Archives, to help transport unsuspecting flâneurs off the street and into the three enclosed forest getaways. Each pavilion was curated to serve a different theme - Connect, Create and Relax - which responded to the Japanese concept 'shinrin-yoko,' meaning forest bathing.
