Flower House Detroit
A derelict house in Detroit gets a fairytale makeover
In 2015, one of the thousands of derelict houses in Detroit was purchased by floral designer and artist Lisa Waud for $500. Over the course of a few months she gutted the interior and replaced the debris with living flowers and plants for a three day, fairytale exhibition and installation. As the project was short lived, she has since turned her attention to her next venture: to transform the property into a flower farm selling American grown flowers for her business Pot & Box.
