A Journal exploring the value of plants and flowers

The Enabling Village

A new community space in downtown Singapore by green-fingered architects WOHA has been designed with universal inclusivity in mind, facilitating people of all abilities and disabilities. With the aim to bring visitors closer to nature, the space is centred around a pond and a luscious green garden connected by walkways, seating and social spaces constructed using sustainably sourced and ‘up-cycled’ materials such as concrete pipes, containers and oil drums. It was awarded the Platinum BCA Universal Design Mark Award in May, 2016.
