A Journal exploring the value of plants and flowers

Hortus Botanicus

Hortus Botanicus has been at the forefront of plant culture for over 300 years. What started as a medicinal herb garden has turned into one of the largest botanical gardens in Europe. The greenhouses provide a range of tropical environments for a collection of rare species of plants, flowers and trees. This includes the famous giant water lily, Victoria, that can be seen flowering in the summer months.  Alongside their collection of plants there is a butterfly greenhouse and an educational centre.
