What happened in 2016?
From 10 May – 10 September 2016, more than 140 innovators applied to be part of Let it Grow’s first Incubation Programme. On 9 September, all the applicants met one another at ROEF Festival in Amsterdam. A panel of esteemed judges from both the startup scene and floriculture sector assessed the applications according to the selection criteria and 21 teams were then invited to the Selection Day on 23 September.
On 1 October the seven selected teams were announced. Each received €10,000 seed funding and entered the five-month Incubation Programme that included weekly training and dedicated mentorship. The programme officially started on 24 October and was opened by Prince Constantijn, special envoy for startups in the Netherlands.
How did the teams benefit from the Incubation Programme in 2016?
The following short movies produced by Let it Grow tell the journey of three of the teams taking part in the Incubation Programme. A movie was produced for every team.
