A Journal exploring the value of plants and flowers

Jean-Michel Bihorel

In his series entitled “Flower Figures”, Paris-based digital artist Jean-Michel Bihorel uses real images of fresh and dried hydrangea blossoms and digitally multiplies them to sculpt flower-covered human forms gracefully sitting, kneeling and posing. By using a combination of 3D printing techniques and procedural modeling, the artist pushes the boundaries of digital sculptures and explores the relationship natural and artificial states.
