Once referred to as ‘the floral artist of his generation’, Joseph Massie is regarded as one of the top botanical artists in Europe. His relationship with flowers began at the tender age of fourteen when he began working at a flower shop in his hometown of Liverpool. Realising his passion lay in the fresh blooms he handled each day, he pursued a career in floral design and won his first national design competition, the BFA Young Florist of the Year, in 2007. Since then he has travelled the world collecting international accolades for his work, including five consecutive RHS Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medals, returning to Liverpool to establish his own studio in 2013.
With his studio and having set up the UK School of Floristry in 2015, Joseph aims to push the boundaries of innovative floral design.
