A Journal exploring the value of plants and flowers

The Agora Tower

Set for completion in September 2017, architect Vincent Callebaut is currently on a mission to complete a mammoth project in the centre of Taipei. As each floor ascends, it rotates 4.5 degrees in a clever bid to maximise the building’s surface area in order to contain 23,000 trees, which will eventually offset up to 130 tonnes of carbon dioxide emitted by the city each year. As a residential building, inhabitants will have the luxury of panoramic views and natural ventilation thanks to its innovative, signature helix twist.
